Great cured sausages and cappicola
Drove up all night on Saturday arrived on Sunday morning. I started to panic as the lady at Morrone Pastry said all the meat stores are closed on Sunday. So I enjoyed an empty Arthur Avenue until I see the gates a opening. The best of all best. The Sausage Chandelier is the best. But it's the meats and cheeses. Out of this world. Came to see the Yankee game, but really I wanted this. Will be coming back for a full day in the hood. Thank you for making my day.
MoreBronx style meat shop. This place is a vegetarians nightmare. For the rest of us it’s heaven
MoreCame in on an food shop/crawl to the Bronx and of course we had to come to this little hole in the wall (per all the raving my little nonna did about this place). I was definitely not disappointed. This place was a cheese heaven for me (since I don’t eat meat) but if you’re a prosciutto, salami or soppressata lover such as all the ones that come in, then this is the place for you!Wide variety of everything hanging from the ceiling. Fresh cheese out the door. They have samples for you to try and very affordable prices. The staff is extremely nice despite being in the middle of the Bronx. Delicious burrata, Bocconcini and nodini. Other Italian pantry favorites available as well. Place gets packed but line moves fast. Credit cards accepted $10 min.Definitely a Bronx favorite! This place is mozzare-hella good so I will for sure be back for more!
MoreOMG!! Heaven!! The smell hits you as soon as you open the door and your mouth starts watering. If you're a vegetarian, obviously, wait outside. Incredible selection of rare Italian meats, like N'duja.
MoreDominic was there! He got me a pair of pressed calabrese sopresatta, said to cure them in olive oil, with a palm of those small dried red chillis and a couple garlic cloves. Be sure it is cured in airtight glass - when you remove from the oil just wipe and store rolled in cloth....the first Christmas miracle.
MoreGreat selection, service with a smile, they let you taste before you buy. An exceptional experience!
MoreGreat sausage must see
Over the top!Real Calabrian sandwiches, made like a mother, the smell of sausages is intoxicating and the owners are Calabrian immigrants of the early 80s who speak with a beautiful mix of dialect and American.10+!
MoreThe best sausage in New York !!!
Best cold cuts. Period. Everybody Who misses the classic Italian butcher, this is where they buy everything you need. Cheese, cold cuts, me pork veal ect. Everything you need. I miss Italian pork stores like this.
MoreTry as much pork as possible and take bunch of different things home! Such a unique staple of the bronx!
MoreThe best of the best go to see awsome!
The TRUE Little Italy. Don't waste your time in Manhattan; come to Arthur Ave.
Best sausage I've ever had and the people there are very willing to help you....top notch!!!
MoreOutstanding, I am from syracuse an d can't wait to go back to the calabria pork store, there is nothing better.NOTHING.NICK SATURNO
MoreAuthentically awesome! The sausage chandelier is a pretty show stoping call to even walk into the place. I️ was hen seduced by the ham, sausage and capacol... don’t forget about the assortment of cheeses to accompany this pork loon heaven! Staff is awesome and surprisingly patient in that Bronx kind of way. Will be returning and bring home the goods upstate. Arthur ave is known for places like this and this is an anchor for sure, don’t miss it!
MoreI've been going here since I was a little kid. The smell is unforgettable - an incredible delight.
MoreWas there on Monday. I bought to sticks. One hot one sweet. It's gone by Wednesday. I'm going back for more very soon
MoreOMG you have to try the sausage, capacol, ham, just fanatic and the sandwiches! As a chef and born and raised in the bronx we know about these hidden jems. There our regular store we shop at. Now the rest of the city should know about Bronx little Italy
MoreLove this place. Come on down to The Bronx Little Italy and enjoy!
Peter is great and takes care of me each time I go to the store. The supersade is fantastic. You won't find anything like it any where's else. I drive 2 hrs just for the supersade.
MoreOne of my favorite places, love the hot sausage!!!
The sausage chandelier is beautiful. The sausages are wonderful - try the flat hot soppresatta and the n'duja.
MoreThis place is terrific! They have free samples and what a great meat aesthetic for the interior. I bought several of their cured meats and they're really good. I don't make it up here often because I live in Brooklyn but when I do this is one of my stops. Too bad they don't have a shop in all 5 boroughs. However, the staff could be a bit more engaging. Calabria is a must visit in my opinion!
Morebest dry sausage.
Best cured meats in the country!
Italian immigrants sell products made from processed meat using an old recipe. Unfortunately, it cannot be brought into Japan as a souvenir, but the taste is also great, and the smell of mold smelling when entering the store has left a good impression of southern Italy.
More**Ordered takeout during COVID pandemicSmall butcher shop, sausages hanging from ceiling; couple of sandwich specialsFood*Hot soppressata (flat) - very good*Beef braciole - good
Moregood
The best sopressata in the USA and just like my calabrese father used to make. I have now moved to the west coast and will miss this placeDo you ship ?
MoreAwesome!!!!!
I love that this place actually has the meat hanging from the ceiling like they did 80 years ago.
MoreIf you love sausage, you'll love their ceiling - a plethora of dry sausage hung on a rope like carrots to a rabbit. When I got home, I tried the hot sopressata ($15/lb). It was nicely compressed, not too spicy or salty. What I found most interesting was the fact that it's skin was made with an artificial casing, probably Cellulose as it felt like paper when peeling it. Good, but a bit pricey. However, my company did purchase a big bag of lady fingers for just $2.
MoreGreat selection
The best
Amazing. Simply the best meat in NY.
Best dry cured meats. Fresh sausages are amazing. Good cheeses. Helpful and friendly staff.
MoreWe walked into the Calabria Pork Store with a vegetarian in tow, and the aroma drove her out on to the sidewalk. Yet, the olfactory fumes were like the lavender fields of Grasse to us lovers of Italian meats. The Calabria Pork Store brought back memories of shops in Catanzaro, and the ultimate charm of boutique food shops reminiscent of Europe and disappearing in America. We bought some salami and shouted "grazie."May the Calabria Pork Store live forever. Shalom!
MoreGreat flavor
This is the best sandwich what we making in calabria pork store
Great
